Default upgrading operating systems

I've got an 8300 series curve & I went to pandora to see if it worked, but I need OS 4.3 or better. I've looked on this site & used the search function and found nothing. Can someone explain how to upgrade my OS?

Do you have an 8300, 8310, or 8320?
