Default delete an email account after carrier switch and device switch

Please Login to Remove!

I had a bold 9000 with Telenor and 2 email accounts. Now I am on rogers with a 9700. When I xfrd data/messages/contacts from the 9000 to the 9700, the email accounts on the 9000 also got xfrd.

I no longer need the old accounts on the 9700. How do I delete them?

Delete the service books. I'm not sure if that will delete the old messages as well, so you better back up your data before you delete the books.

If the email addresses are still setup in your BIS account, you will need to delete them there, too. If not, they'll be pushed again eventually, possibly when you do a hard reset, but definitely when you resend service books.

Hopefully you still have access to the OLD BIS account and can delete the emails from there.
If you do it will make your life a lot easier.

Make sure that you specifically tell the old carrier (Telenor) to CANCEL your BIS account. That should release the IMEI and PIN. You will need to have them free if you plan on selling the device.

But as said above, if you still have the log in to that BIS, then by all means delete the accounts there as well.
