I have searched this forum and seems like everyone wants to have no password on the blackberry when they press Power button.


I had the opposite functionality on my Storm 2 and Bold 9700, recently i updated the OS to latest and now every time i press power button on the top the screen is locked but can be unlocked without password..


How do i set the config to have password required to unlock screen..


Please help anyone as i am confused as to why this is happening.

The new OS versions changed that functionality. Nothing you can do about it.
If you have dial from home screen turned off, see if the 'K' shortcut still works. It doesn't for me, but worth checking on your models/OS versions. Otherwise, alt-return shortcut still works, and of course there is the lock icon.
