For some reason my wifi keeps turning off on my phone. Won't be surprised if it has something to do with my shady service provider. To try and eat up my data. But it just keep's turning off every now and then. And I can't seam to figure out why. I have connection preference set to "Wifi preferred" have it set to auto connect when in range. But every now and then in the settings the wifi gets turned to off. Talking about when in range to people.

One thing about WiFi, If you try to use or do something that does not go through WiFi like corporate email or BBM that is via a corporate BES or BIS servers, the bb will switch back to cell data and shut off WiFi you then will have to manually turn it back on sometimes.
The BB should re-connect after a while to the WiFi. thats the only thing I can think of.

Thanks. But I think it's cause of my phone locking. After about a min or 2, after phone is locked. It just turn's the wifi off on me. And it won't come back on unless I manually turn it back on in options.

That might be the problem, but the main reason most blackberry's have WIFI is just to restive Enterprise Email, like if you ware in a large organization deep in the office in a large building and you didn't get a signal from your service provider then the blackberry would use the UMA signal for calling and WIFI to send and get Enterprise Email.

I disagree with your statement. It has nothing to do with Enterprise E-mail. Having WiFi allows for faster browsing and UMA with our without BES. It is wonderful for HOMES with poor carrier coverage, but WiFi.

I'll bite, what is restive Enterprise Email? Maybe email thats tired? or maybe email thats lost it's way and wandering around the world?

A little clarification on whether Wi-Fi simply disconnect or does it completely disable itself and you must re-enable it via the connection manager?
