Default Verizon BlackBerry Data Plan

Please Login to Remove!

Hi folks,

I have just registered on these forums and I have a question I'm hoping you all can help me out with.

Verizon offers unlimited (well, 5 GB) Internet/e-mail at a rate of $30/month, correct? Can I get a Blackberry from them at Verizon and then them activate it ONLY having the data package? I do not need voice or text messaging. I just need e-mail and internet access. Thus, I could be able to get the unlimited data plan for $30/month plus taxes, etc. making my bill less than $40/month?

Thank you all so much!

You should call and ask. But I think you also need a voice plan to go with the BB data plan.

And make sure it is the BB data plan, not their smartphone plan.

No. That price is only valid if you are adding it onto a voice plan. If you need only data access, it is more than $30 monthly.

Thank you. I've since found out it's $54.99/month.

$54.99 sounds right...I can't imagine getting service of anykind on a Blackberry from VZW for less than that...
