I have one user out of 110 that has a strange problem recieving PINs from some users. She has a 7290 and when PINS come in from several people, but not everyone, the from information only shows the PIN # of the sender. We have Exchange 2K and BES 4.0. Everyone syncs via USB to their personal contacts folder and a Blackberry contact folder located in Exchange public folders.

If her secretary sends me and her a PIN I see the name, and she sees the PIN #. Here's what I have tried so far. Verify there are no duplicate entries in her address book. Remove all entries from her address book and resync to reload them. Wipe her unit and down grade her OS from 4.0.2.49 to 4.0.0.219. She still has the same problem.

Anyone seen anthing like this, or have any ideas?

Does the user have her secretary's PIN entered in her address book?

If the pin isn't entered along with the other information under the sec's name the berry should show the PIN.
If the pin is entered along with the other information under the sec's name the berry should show the senders name.

Has nothing to do with the address book. Try filling out the Settings > Owner > Name field. If this is blank, the recipient will see the PIN number when they get your message. If you entered your name, they will see it instead.
