We recently upgraded to BES for Exchange 4.0 and use mostly 7280 handhelds. I have disabled wireless calendar sync on the server, but the desktop software(4.1) keeps defaulting back to wireless sync, no matter how many times I change it. It's happening for all users.

Can anyone please tell me how to make the calendar default back to outlook sync? I've searched the forums, but didn't see any posts that provided a solution.

I found a solution I thought I'd share here in case anyone else has the same problem.

On the blackberry, go into options, service books, and delete any service books with desktop in the name. Then connect to the PC and update with desktop manager.

In my experience that won't work permanently. *Sometime* in the future the service book will magically reappear and sync will be turned on again.

The user needs to disable calendar sync from the handheld, under Calendar > Options. That'll allow a local desktop sync.

I've read that before, but my units don't have that option under calendar.

If you deleted the service book for calendar sync the option disappears.

We have 15 units and none of them had that option. Is there a way to get it back?
