Default 8530 missed call log problem

Please Login to Remove!

i hope this is in the right place on this forum. here is the issue.
i have two blackberry 8530s one is working properly and the other has an little problem.
i have gone to the options/call logging screen and set it to missed calls. however, when i have a missed call the "missed call" phone icon shows up like it is supposed to, the new message (email) icon also shows up like it is supposed to. the problem is that when i go to the messages screen there is no log of the missed call. anyone have any ideas? is it just the way the email is set up?

Option 1

To display call logs in the Messages folder on the BlackBerry smartphone, complete the following steps:

1.From the Home screen, click the Messages icon.
2.Hold ALT + P.
Note: This changes the current view of the Messages folder to display only call logs. To restore the original view, press the Back button.

Option 2

To add call logs to the Messages folder to show everything, including email messages, complete the following steps:

1.From the Home screen, click the Call Log icon or press the Send key.
2.Press the Menu key and select Options.
3.Click Call Logging.
4.Change the Show These Call Log Types In Message List option to the desired selection.
5.Press the Menu key and click Save.
