Arrow HELP! Setup wizard only gives me 1 email option (work BES) ??

Please Login to Remove!

I have a 9300 curve 3g, new to BB's but I love it already!

Trying to set up my email through the setup wizard but it only gives me the option to add a work email through BES. I have no idea what this is but I need to add a personal email such as hotmail.

How do I do this?

Also, I have no idea what Im doing with BBM! Ive added friends via their PIN number but they are 'pending' and wont show in my BBM contacts list. They keep telling me to accept them but I don't know how!

Thanks!

That message in the Email setup wizard is indicative of not having the proper BlackBerry Internet Service Data Plan (or Bolt On) set up with your phone service carrier. You need to contact your carrier to get the correct data plan in order to get email.

Same thing for BBM. You won't get service until you have a BLACKBERRY DATA PLAN set up.

Call your carrier.

Thanks for your reply!

Bit sneaky of them not to mention it to me at the time of purchase! Do i have to pay for this Blackberry bolt on?

I added a data bolt on when I bought the phone, an extra 5 a month, is this what you mean or is it a different thing completely? Sorry to be dumb :(

The sales guy said this was for internet (facebook, twitter etc)??!

Thanks!

yes you have to pay.
It needs to be a blackberry bolt-on and will replace the current "internet" bolt-on at usually the same price.
Call O2. They will tell you what you have and what you can have and how much.

Ive phoned them this morning, they mis-sold me the internet bolt on in store initially and so have replaced it with the blackberry bolt on now.

Once it goes on (within 24 hrs apparently) I have to do something with the 'Host routing table' and register for emails at their site.

Does anyone know if the BBM will automatically work or do I have to register something for that too??

Thanks again

It will automatically work once the plan is active on the device.

You may need to cancel the "pending" invites and re-send those.
