Question blackberry attachments sometimes missing

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

i have a user which makes use of a 9700 with OS 5.0.0.586, and it seems like sometimes the blackberry doesnt display attachments, or bether, it doens't see there are attachments.
up until now i could only find posts about people not receiving attachments at all, but this is not the problem here. i have an example excel which didn't arrive in the users inbox, when we look in his outlook we can clearly see the attachment. if i send the attachment to my account, and then send the same attachment to this user, he can see the attachment correctly (theres also a paperclip icon in his maillist indicating the email contains an attachment, while the other mail only contains an envelope indicating the email doenst contain attachments (while it actually should). notice: the problem is intermittend, so it cant be the attachment service.

It could be the format of the attachment. If it's something the BB doesn't support you obviously won't be able to see it.

There is a 2.9MB size limit on email messages so it it's a large picture or a movie clip it won't download.

hi rambo, thx for the answer, but if i forward the same attachment again to the same user, or to my own blackberry (same model, 9700) the device picks it up fine

you will need to load the attachment services on the BB again, backup the device, do a full security wipe on the device, then complete a selective restore on the device and restore just what you need.

Other then that you would be looking at doing a full reload and then a selective restore is always best.
