Default Pocket Folding Full Size Keyboard -- post if you want one.

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

This topic straddles software/hardware, and general.

As many of us have heard, the nearly-arrived Blackberry 7290 has Bluetooth.

There is already a full size keyboard that folds to pocket size (Stowaway's new Bluetooth folding keyboard) that has full size hard-plastic notebook keycaps. Photos of folding Bluetooth keyboard.

If you would like the use of such a full size keyboard for marathon emails, please post in this thread in Hardware forum indicating your interest.

Curious if RIM will allow this option.

They should. There should be absolutely no security difference between a Bluetooth keyboard and a Bluetooth headset (reported to be working with the 7290). Plus a keyboard driver is easier to program than a headset driver too :D

And as a deaf guy, I don't use the phone in my Blackberry anyway, so no benefit for Bluetooth headsets for me.

I received some potential good news, about Blackberry being permitted to work with other Bluetooth accessories, so I am crossing my fingers. In the meantime until this is confirmed, feel free to post in this thread saying you're interested in Blackberry compatibility with external keyboards. :D

Thumbs up bluetooth folding keyboards

I would really like to know where to get one of those keyboards. It would give my thumbs a much needed break. Lol!

What do you do about mouse functions? Do you have to click the trackwheel?
