I tried finding this, but couldn't find the exact issue. I'm also not sure if there are differences between the US and Canada.

I'm in Canada, and currently have a phone that uses a SIM card on the Rogers network. I received a BlackBerry Curve 8330, on the Telus network, as a gift. I gather that the BB uses Micro SIM, and that I could have a Micro SIM made from my SIM for relatively cheap.

Will that be enough, though? Is there an unlocking procedure I can do to ensure that the Rogers card will work, or is there in fact nothing I can do that would make it work?

No, the 8330 is purely CDMA and will not work at all on Rogers, which is GSM. No SIM card at all in the 8330.
