Default HELP !!!! update killed my BB

Please Login to Remove!

6 months ago I updated my BB 8530 (curve-2) using the desktop manager. It totally lost all my theme settings, email acoxxxx settings everything.

Fortunately I saved a backup and reverted my device.

Today, six months later I was notified that an update is available so I figured I'd try it.

Lost everything. Again..

Not just data, but now, my config options to set up email is even gone. I can only set up a BBE email account now - no more manual email config!

And, worst of all I can not connect via USB anymore so I cant even restore my device.

Dekstop Manager just sits there saying "Connecting"

This is a nightmare

Not normal, detail the steps you followed and the responses. Include the OS levels before and after. Also did you try pulling the battery then see if the computer sees the BB?
Was a backup was made before the update?

Resend the service books and re-register using the host routing table. And then a battery pull.
