Default Sync old Gmail/Hotmail/Yahoo e-mails?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, I have a few e-mail addresses, one for Gmail,one for Hotmail, and one for Yahoo.

I went into my Curve 8900 on T-Mobile and added each of them; it added an icon for each which is exactly how I want it.

Problem(s):

(1) right now there are no e-mails in these accounts; how can I get the Blackberry to pull the old e-mails that are on the Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo servers?

(2) I tested to see whether I can get any new mail by sending a test e-mail to each of the addresses; the Hotmail and Gmail come through correct; the Yahoo does not -- somewhere I read that you need to buy this feature from Yahoo in order to get it? I.e. some Yahoo+ service?

Can anybody shed some light on the above?

Thank you all!

1. Only email received from the time you activated the address on the BB is sent. If you really need it, you might try marking them as unread and see if they will then transfer. Otherwise you will need to send them to yourself.

2. Can't help with that one. Yahoo email can take as much as 20 minutes to get pushed to the BB however. Did you receive an activation message and an envelope icon for the account?

Ok, I understand #1 above; makes sense. It's a bummer though that I can't search/find old e-mails and reply to them.

The Yahoo mail does not push through to the BB, it's been about 1-2 days. Neither new e-mails or old e-mails come through. I did get an activation message and envelope icon for that account.

I connected my yahoo account to my BB without purchasing anything from yahoo. I don't know why yours isn't working, but if deleting it and adding it again doesn't work, you could try pulling the battery and letting it restart.
