BlackBerry Curve 8520 Backlight!

Hello there,

I am just asking a simple question.

When i go and look on my BlackBerry for something (lets just say viewing a text message) My backlight is bright BUT sometimes it even goes brighter, does anyone know why that actually happens? and who actually knows if you can make it stay even brighter all the time.

Please help me out here!

The device has a light sensor in the same area as the notification led that automatically compensates for low light levels. All you can do is set your brightness to 100% in Options >Screen/Keyboard.

Thank you but i have already got my Brightness set at 100% I just wish that it would stay that extra brighter

Under that same option is there another option for "Automatically Dim Backlight?" That might help to uncheck that. However, I believe that full bright option is automatic so that the device will go full bright in high light levels like outside in the sun, etc.
