How do I thethether my 8320(T mobile) as a modem to my IBM Thinkpad so I can get internet service on the Thinkpad?

You can do it easily via BB desktop manager. Which version of it are you using?

Also, I think tmobile recently started a separate data plan for tethering. Don't know if you need to have one as well in order to tether.

Sorry to ask but what's a BB desktop manager? Do I need to download it onto my IBM Thinkpad, and if so, which website and corresponding link do I use? Thanks!

Yes, you need to install the software on your computer.

http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/

You also will need to contact TMobile and have then add tethering to your account in order for you to be able to tether your computer to your BlackBerry.
