I know nothing about computers and what not. I was hoping i could find an answer to what may seem a really stupid question , but it would really put my mind to ease

I plugged my black berry into my computer via blackberry messenger so i could charge it (as i could not find my charger) and a few min after i had done so i herd a tone (alert) come from my phone i had never herd. it was a text/email, i dont know much about email on blackberrys because i have never used the email as my plan is only a student plan and i dont have email as a feature. so it was really strange that i had an email sent to my phone. stupidly i opened it and it read -hey why are you always on bbm- it freaked me out because i had never gotten this before i plugged my phone into my computer. so i deleted it quickly not that would help or anything. When i looked at the message before opening it it had red writing i dont know if that had anything to do with it being an email. But my real question is :
can someone hack your bb through this program bb desk top manager,and i know this is a REALLY stupid question but just bare with me : can they steal files from you phone for example pictures, video , contacts and what not.

if someone could PLEASE get back to me ( as stupid as the question may be) that would be MUCH appreciated

If you want people to help you, then you need to make your posts readable and understandable. In its original form, it wasn't. And kindly put your attitude elsewhere. It isn't needed or required here.

The post isn't easy to read.

First, if you do not have a BlackBerry data plan then you are not receiving email. What you received would be a SMS or MMS in that case, which is transmitted to your device over the voice network, not data. Spam on SMS is unfortunate, but it happens. You were not hacked and it had nothing to do with desktop manager.
