Default Maximum Number of Contacts

Please Login to Remove!

Can someone please help me out here. I have recently switched from Nokia to Blackberry and did a sync of my contacts through Microsoft Outlook. I lost a lot of numbers in the process. Two questions: 1) Is there any other way to transfer and get all my numbers? 2) What is the maximum number of Phone Numbers you can store against a single contact even if it has to be done manually. Can the fields in Outlook be increased to accomodate more numbers. Any help would be appreciated, as some of my contacts have upto 7 numbers against one name and was not a problem with Nokia.

A blackberry contact can store 3 numbers to one contact: home, work and mobile numbers.

There are an additional 4 "user fields" which you could put numbers into, but that would have to be done manually I believe.

Yes, it will be little bit of a handy work but can be done. I own Nokia E73 and have done this couple of times. I usually export them into XLS file and then import into Outlook and then sync up from Outlook to BB but only FROM OUTLOOK-->BB and not both way.

OS 5 at least has Work 1, Work 2, Home 1 and Home 2, and Mobile 1 and Mobile 2, plus work fax and home fax. Going on memory I think that's and advance on what I had on 4.5.

Too bad you cannot edit the names like Home2 to what ever is needed.
