Default big file download

Please Login to Remove!

I'm a proud owner of an 8520 curve and recently I updated to os5. B4 upgrade I cldnt download big files but now I can up to 100mb. The problem is I can only download mp3 any other file type bigger than 5mb it says entity to big!!! Is ther any way round this besides usin opera or bolt?

how much file space do you have free. There is a limit.
also if your on a corporate BES , they can limit the file size and generally thats the message you get.

some additional problems with media. there are other issues such as the newer OS has blocks on some media.

Example,
Audio files from Napster® can be copied onto a media card but will not play in the Media application on the BlackBerry smartphone because the files are locked by Napster. Do not load audio files from Napster.

Music files copied from CDs will also have locks. The files can be transferred onto a media card but it will not play on the BlackBerry smartphone.

I would suspect you have no space left. check

Bolt and Opera are the only way I've found. I've used them for a while to down podcasts (before the pod cast app came along)

Their was a service book that was rumored to give you an unlimited download the Blackberry browser, but I wouldn't recommend it.
(It was blogged about a year or 2 ago)

The free space on the device is 120mb and I got 2gig on the memory card

I believe the problem is that RIM limits the download on certain file extensions.

(It's been that way for a loooong time now)
