I currently own a Blackberry 8520 and am trying to download a free program called Shazam... I can get to the program but once i click on download through App World, it will ask for my log in details, ill fill out the details and it will authenticate, but then the loading screen/bar appears and just never seems to go away? Is there anything that can be done to fix this highly annoying problem

I'm not sure if this will do any good or not. But it won't do any harm. On the screen where it is stuck, press alt-RST. (Hold alt and press R then S then T).

I used this and it does work. Sometimes a delay caused by excess traffic will cause the link to drop to the web site. Also heavy Appworld traffic can cause this.

Unfortunatley what you suggested did not work but thank you for your responses

When you did alt-RST, what did you see? I'm trying to remember....I think App World should close, but I seem to recall it took a moment. Is that what you saw? Or did App World stay open?

i have the same problem with my BB

Do it again. Be carefull and make sure you hold the alt key the entire time as you press R, then S and then T. I tested, and app world closes after a second. I'm almost certain it should do the same for you. And somehow it resets app world or clears a stack or something.... I don't know exactly what. But I'm almost positive it should work for you.

Ok well im doing it as we speak and its definatly NOT working... is there anything that i could try?

By the way i should add... when i press back (once ive got bored of waiting) it does say
"you must agree to the terms and conditions to use this Blackberry App World Feature"

Are you using the latest App World? If you don't know, go to blackberry.com/appworld with your BlackBerry browser and select to download. When it asks to replace, check the version numbers for what you are downloading versus what you have. If the download is newer, go ahead and download and then try again. If you do have the older app world, you'll have to create a BlackBerry I'd, and you'll have to login even to download or upgrade a free app..... Or do you already have the newest app world?

..... If you have the newest, I don't know. I think I would delete app world, do a hard reset, then install app world all over again, and see if it works.

I had this. I installed, re-installed, installed, re-installed, tried all sorts ... but to no avail ... for WEEKS! Then someone suggested I connect via Wi-Fi rather than 3G ... and hey-presto! The "Terms and Conditions" screen FINALLY popped up. After accepting, I never got the problem again.

I still bet on cell network conjestion in the OP's area.
