Default Charge on new BB battery?

Hi I've just got my 9780 today. I'd like to know how long do I leave the battery on charge for, to get a full charge?

I'm guessing I should leave it on for longer than for when the battery meter shows full for a full charge? Thanks

When it says its full it should be full.
