hi all,

really love my blackberry but don't have the means/desire for a monthly cell phone + data plan. have been using it as a pda- calendar, reminders, etc.. i'd really like to be able to read articles/text when i am on the go. do i have the ability to open pdfs on a blackberry? if not, what other options do i have? cut/paste text into word and use word on the blackberry to read them?
thanks for your help

tempted to get a monthly plan, having recently discovered evernote. what a great app!

You can try to get an older version of desktop manager to load files in the memory card to view but unless you have a data plan or try to use the new DM( v 6 ) which requires an internet connection for most of its operation the blackberry may not be the device for you. It is not a PDA
