A few things, The card wont work in another BB due to the encryption codes xxx8220;lockingxxx8221; it to the original BB. If the new card does work then at least you donxxx8217;t have BB issues. Kind of interesting why the media card failed on a drop but the BB is ok. Anyway try inserting it in a reader on a friends laptop or if the stuff is really private you can buy a reader at an electronics store and see if it can be viewed. Keep in mind the encryption may prevent this. As for the backup, I would do a backup and simply move the file to a USB stick deleting it from the PC. If this is a blackberry used for business and is on a BES server you may have bigger issues if the xxx8220;stuffxxx8221; was against company policy. Worse case you learned a big lesson and lost the data.
