i recently signed up to wirelessly reconcile my yahoo contact list with my BB device and now i have multiple entries for almost everyone on my list. how can ir everse this? thanks.

yeah me too. i actually just deleted my yahoo email from the device and then synced my outlook again...this time it asked to delete 300+ contacts. after i deleted those contacts, i was left with the original ones...no double entries.
BUT even after i deleted my yahoo email from the BB, when i go to "contacts" then click "options", it still shows the yahoo under "contact lists". i've rebooted many times and can't get that to go away.

Go to Email Configuration tool and edit the email setting and syncronization. and uncheck the box next the contacts. I personally do not sync up any contacts
