Hi everyone, I am new to blackberry. I was just wondering if anyone could help me. I have received a blackberry 8520 as a gift but we have had to have it unlocked from virgin uk, so that i can use my o2 uk sim card.

I was just wondering if I will be able to use all the functions such as the internet and bbm provided I get the settings for o2?

People have told me that i will not be able to get online or bbm with it. how true is this?

It is true if you use your current O2 sim that doesn't have a blackberry bolt-on [or blackberry plan] on it.
You need a blackberry bolt-on to any current contract, or Simplicity for Blackberry SIM Only to get all the data functions.

ok so it will work if it has been unlocked and i have the correct bolt on?
