I am new to this forum and am doing some research before deciding to upgrade my Verizon phone from a Treo 700. I have used the Palm OS for a very long time so my database is quite large and what moved me to the Treo was the ease of use of having a phone and the Palm Pilot together in one device. However it was not until after I'd acquired the Treo that I discovered that Palm OS does not do voice dialing from a Bluetooth device (at least not without a lot of messing around with 3rd party apps that may or may not work depending on whose BT you buy), and this is an issue I've had to deal with for a long time. Many friends have suggested Blackberry and the various models I've looked at (Storm2 and Bold vying for ultimate choice now) seem to have all the features I need in a phone/pda. The deal breaker for me will be whether I can transfer my Palm OS databases intact to the BB, and how easily this can be done. I have found something called SplashID but haven't yet read up enough on it. So I'm here among more experienced BB users hoping one of you will have an answer for me, even if it's not the answer I want.
Thank you for your time.
