Mine JUST did this. i had some white screen with an application failure and now it locks on the bootup. i haven't suddenly added any programs or had any damage to the device. removed my sim and sd card to see if that would help, but no dice.

Describe EXACTLY what it is doing.

If it is in a rebooting loop, see Is your BlackBerry Nuked? - BlackBerryFAQ.

It just locks up in the loading mode with the logo and the statusbar as if the software is corrupt.

gets about 2/3's of the way there and sits. no flashing/blinking light just the loading screen.

No error messages?

Did you drop it or did it get wet?

Have you done a battery pull?

If did get wet, it may be too late.

Assuming no physical damage, remove the microSD card if you are using one, and try again.

If you are using OS ver 4.6 or newer, you might see if you can boot in safe mode. KB17877-How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in safe mode

If you can boot in safe mode, do a backup. You probably should then just do a wipe and OS reinstall rather than try deleting suspect apps.
