Default I cannot delete my e-mails

Please Login to Remove!

For some reason my BB is keeping e-mails since Sept 1st even though the keep messages set to 30 days. Additionally when I try to delete e-mails (Go to December 1st and select Delete Prior) my blackberry crashes and restarts, and the emails are still there.

I am using BES. If I clear memory and choose only e-mails, how can I get last 30 days back from server? This is causing memory problems, and keeping only 2.5mb space available, which makes everything slower, especially google maps.

Wonder if an OS replacement would help. Sounds like corruption.

Do a FULL backup first.

Next talk to your BES Admin. Most likely you'll be:
a) updating to the latest OS by your provider
- ensure no previous OS is installed on the computer you're going to use Desktop Manager to update the OS.
b) update the current/latest OS and purging all previous data.
- seeing if the device is running smoothly.

- Restore ONLY the Messages, and Message options (preferably only the Messages themselves), THEN activate.
BES will by default only restore 5/7days worth of messages or 1000(?) I'm vague on both so don't hold me to this information as fact, but more of a guideline you see.

I'm curious if ALL these emails are also "SAVED" emails and you have a Messages db bug happening? Let us know what the solution is please?

I am running 5.0.0.405 with AT&T. I just did a Wireless Update and there are just two minor updates. x.602 and x.979
Since I cannot reach my BES Admin on weekends, it won't matter. Should I just update OS to x.979 first? I am running a full backup right now.

At this point unless the BES admin restricts upgrading on your own it may be your only option. Just be sure you download the new OS to the PC so in the event of any network disruption you wont be working on a brick. Having a full backup will allow you to do a restore but any their party apps may have to be reloaded including any your company has developed internally for company use. Good Luck.

Our BES admin does not have any restrictions over our berries. It is just there for Outlook & Exchange, that's all. Rest of it is left with users.
So, when you say it may be my only option, what other options are available anyway?
