Hi. I'm trying to help my wife sync her calendar on her BB (8310) to the desktop, or another alternate calendar in order to have a backup in the event that her BB crashes. We don't have Outlook on the computer, and don't really want to buy it either. I set her up to sync with Google calendar and contacts, but Google only syncs with newly entered items, not events that were on the BB prior to downloading Google Sync.

So, I'm wondering if there is another, free calendar that will allow her to sync all of the events on her BB? Any suggestions?

Download Desktop Manager from RIM( free) and do a backup. If the BB dies or crashes you can recover the data. Multiple calendars generally get out of sync unless youxxx8217;re diligent and constantly do syncing.

Thanks, tsac. The backup will restore the details of every event currently living on her Blackberry? If that's the case, that should work fine, and then she can just use Google calendar to sync going forward.
