Default good alternative to built in sms

Hey.I was browsing through the bb world apps and found a neat one.

It is called "crunchsms". Its basically an alternative to the boring build in sms on the blackberry. This is a FREE APP.

It allows you to change the background color, bubble color, text colors, and font sizes. Its basically a more fun sms interface. You can even use it in place of your current sms. Just go to options - firewall and turn off sms messages. Even by turning them off, crunch sms will still receive them.

I just thought it was neat.

only thing to keep mindful is when you turn it off at the firewall, if there is an issue with crunchsms and you have to take it off the BB, remember to disable the firewall for sms

Yeah that's important to remember. But there's not many big problems with it.

The only reason to delete it would be if you didn't like it.

I've had to delete crunchsms off my torch several times. It is so laggy and the only way to make it stop is to delete all conversatioins. Plus, it will not go into landscape mode. Just too buggy. I wish it weren't cuz I love the features. Sux we can't customize the BB text bubbles. Bleh!

I think in the description it said something about the torch.

From what I've heard, and my experience with it, its excellent on most phones. I've had no lagging or other issues with it.

Been using it for a few weeks. I like it. I'll stick with it, at least until I get my next BB w/ threaded SMS.

Does crunchSMS integrate with the Messages application in OS 6.0?
