Question BIS email gmail delayed

Please Login to Remove!

Hello. During the past 24 hours I have been experiencing significant delays in email(gmail) delivery onto my BB. I have BIS on 9780 in NYC with T-mobile. i have resent service books but nothing changed.

is anyone else experiencing similar issues?

Have you rebooted the device, with power on, remove the battery a minute, replace and see if you notice any difference?

Another thing you might do is completely delete the gmail account from your BIS account.
Then on your device > Device Options > Advanced Options > Service Books, find and delete the two Service Books [CICAL] and [CIMIME] associated with your Gmail account.
Then, reboot the device as described above.
Now, go back and re-add your Gmail account to your BIS.

I removed the email account from the deviced, verified that gmail related service books were no longer present and then re-added the email account and then did a battery pull. nothing helped.

Do you have more than 1,000 emails in your main Gmail inbox? Delete that down to less than a 1,000 or move them to another folder, and see if that helps. That worked for me one time, recently.

no. i have about 100 emails in my main inbox. Everything else is archived. I contacted Rim support and they are looking into it.

I noticed the same thing today - I have a BES Account and also use BIS for gmail and Yahoo - it may be some sort of network issue on BIS and/or gmail.

I am having the same exact problem for the last day or so here in LA. I received some emails with a short delay (~10 minutes) this morning and a few instantaneous emails in the afternoon, but there are about 5-10 emails that I received in my Gmail inbox throughout the day and still not on my BlackBerry device. So frustrating.
