Default Curve 8330 No TCP Settings

Please Login to Remove!

Hi Guys,

I got a cricket flashed 8330 (OS version 4.5.0.175), voice/sms/mms/internet all work but I'm having a problem getting apps to work. I have found my carrier's wap settings but I do not see the TCP settings under advanced. I saw one person total online mention something similar and someone said it could be a missing service book. I have 4 service books from tooinsane (on howardforums):

MMS Transport [WPTCP]
WAP Push [WAPPushConfig]
WAP2 Transport [WPTCP]
WAP BrowserConfig [Browserconfig]

I have nothing under Host Routing Table, which is what I suspect could be the problem as well. So how do I get to the TCP settings on this thing. Also on the ##000000 program screen my SIP Password blanks out everytime I save. If anyone knows how to make it save it that could be useful as well.

Thanks for any help.

I don't think the CDMA units allow for manual programming of TCP info. It's an automatic thing with both Verizon and Sprint so it's not in the OS. Cricket might have some support trick to get to these settings but you'll have to ring Cricket up to find out.

Any solutions to get a BlackBerry to work without a non-BlackBerry plan are going to be a series of imperfect workarounds, and for some features there may be no solution at all. Your best bet is some Cricket support forum where folks have had success.
