I have a 8700c as my personal phone and a Sprint phone for work. That's about as close as I can get. Oh and this is a great board! So much info here!

Wirelessly posted (Blackberry 7280: BlackBerry7280/4.0.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1)

I have motorola v600 as my cell phone. I then purchased a BlackBerry 7280 almost a year ago. I am on my phone a lot needing to review files on my BB at the same time. I really like having two seperate devices and will continue. It has been extremely beneficial to me. Thank you for posting this question!

I used to have a Razor and the BB, but now I just use my 7290 for vioce and data. I like it alot, if I'm in a call with my head-set on I can click the track wheel and go to the home screen and send SMS messages and emails, take notes or what ever while I talk, alot easier to multi task on one device than it is to fumbel with 2 at a time.. ..

Hi there! Total BB noob here. I just got a 7290 through work and I use it as a phone as well as for email, calendar, tasks, memo pad, etc, etc, etc. I like having the SIM so I can use a phone only on weekends, but I don't carry two devices. It's a great phone as well, so I don't have a need to carry two devices.

I was recently carrying a 7105t (tmobile) and my i730 (nextel)..

I gave my 7105t back to the company and purchased a 7100i (since my nextel signal is much stronger than t-mobile) and went down to 1 device.. I can't stand carrying more than 1 phone!

Jim

I am a noob at this, will I be able to manage a 7130e (verizon) with work email (lotus) as well as my home email on the same device? (comcast) or will I have to go to the net to do my home email?

Mine is strictly fo personal use. The main reason I got my 8700c is because I text a lot and having the full keyboard is very convenient. And I just wanted an awesome phone that all my friends wished they had. LOL! I upgraded from the LG 9100f or something like that. I wanted something a little better.

I switched over from having a regular Palm (no Treo) & a phone. I really wanted to not have 2 devices on me all the time & I needed dependable email... I have had the 7520 for about a month now & I love it!
Nextels coverage for phone service also seems to be very good & I never have problems w/ that either.

I use my 7520 for everything. Except I still carry around a Franklin Planner. For some reason I get things done when I write it down.

I carry or wear 7290 now for 6 months after using 7230 for 2 years.

I am deaf and the BB is considered as a cellphone to me although I never use phone. I use the $29 per month for data - voice barred data plan. why need a phone if I cant hear?

I use calendar, calculator, Ramble IM, TZones for news, MemoPad for grocery list, BB411 for directions, (yes I am a man asking for directions), BB messenger, and even alarm clock to wake me up from naps at work... (heh).

I use BB to contact many deaf people all over the nation and even from Central America and Austrailia.

BB is a must need for the deaf although many of them dont know it. they prefer Sidekick II (duh). They dont know a good thing if they have not tried BB.
