Default Help with Password Keeper

Please Login to Remove!

I have recently upgraded from an 8520 to a Torch. When I transferred to my Torch my Password Keeper information didn't seem to transfer. What can I do so I don't have to type all the entries manually?

First, is the password keeper app installed on the Torch? Sounds from your account of the situation that it is, but not clear. If it isn't, then use desktop manager to install the app on the Torch. Then run it and see if the data base is already there.

If you don't find passwrod keeper populated with your data when you run it, then you will need to do a selective restore from a backup file, or run a backup on the 8520 if you still have it, and restore the password keeper database to the Torch.

I had the same problem and was successful tonight in using a previous backup to recover the password keeper data. I don't know how to link to a previous thread, but if you search for the thread "how to restore only the password keeper data?", step-by-step instructions are listed.

I switched companies recently and needed to do a new enterprise activation for my Storm. I did a backup of my storm with BB desktop Manager. After wiping my blackberry and completing the activation I wanted to restore password keeper. I had 70 entries. I checked selective restore and found password keeper grayed out. Couldn't select it to restore. Is there anything I can do?

Found my own answer. Go into password keeper, log in, click menu, select options, disable wireless sync. Password keeper is not greyed out any longer and I was able to restore.
