The BlackBerry User Tools disc caused my laptop to be corrupted after installation. I went to restart and it said something about Runtime and then the only thing that would boot up is the Windows Vista Home Premium screen. I cannot do anything! I can't even get into safe mode or BIOS. What would cause this?

Is this a factory CD or a copy? The normal disk included with a new blackberry contains information on use and operation. It also contains a copy of Desktop Manager and the Basic OS for the handheld. Unless you received a copy with a virus it normally does not cause any issues. I suspect you have more going on than a problem loading the Blackberry CD.

The Vista Advanced Boot Options menu lets you start Windows in advanced troubleshooting modes. You can access the menu by turning on your computer and pressing the F8 key before Windows starts. From there I would look for a problem.

I have tried EVERYTHING and cannot get into the bios or safe mode. Computer freezes on the Windows Vista Home Premium screen. Very frustrating. I have tried to use a Vista recovery disc as well. No access! It was all after I installed the original BlackBerry user tools CD. I will have to have my files retrieved some how and then have purchase the Toshiba recovery disc to reinstall everything.
