Ran the installer on the windows 7 machine - all went well

running the sabe installer on windows 2008 server (Bes server) in order to provide software to Bes for wireless upgrade and while running installer after i select the language (first time) then the blackberry logo comes up - installer unpacks - then it asks for language again (thsi time for terms and all the legal ...) i click next and error comes up

Error 1723. There is a problem with this Windows intaller package. A DLL required for this intall to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package cendor. Action RIM_UpdateLicenseAgreementConrtol, Entry; BBDMUtil_Update.......


Has anyone had this issue - i ahve rebooted the server - also verified that other programs can install so it's not windows installer issue - even though the error is for windows installer .

Found my solution, maybe it will work for you.

I had to download and install the 32-bit Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package.

After I installed that the device software package installed successfully.
