Default Yahoo server

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I am trying to use the BB Desktop Software to sync data from my Bold 9000 to Yahoo and the following error message appears:

"Connection to Yahoo server was lost."

The internet connections, Yahoo passwords, etc are all correctly entered.

Please advise.

Cheers.

Sounds like a network problem. Does this happen in one location only? How's your data connection/signal strength where you're doing this?

Hi,

Sorry for not getting back sooner. I have tried to connect to Yahoo through the Blackberry Desktop Software to sync my data from one location, but on two different computers. I have also tried this over a period of a few days and still have the error message appear. I initially thought it was a an internet problem, but all other connections seem to work fine.

Cheers.

Nothing is listed at RIM to indicate this is a common issue but the link below may help. I would tend to agree with rambo47 in that something is causing the network connection to drop. It may be a PC issue with cookies or interference from another application running ion the PC. Keep in mind when communicating with this type of connection, if something causes the delay or dropping of packets to the Yahoo server may interpret this as a drop and disconnect. They may have a higher security level to prevent people from using a connection that was dropped. This became a common issue with the use of public computers that allow the next user to simply brows back to an earlier connection and gain access to information. The major companys now drop connection quickly for various conditions.

Maybe more info than you wanted.

KB20645-"Operation terminated unexpectedly" appears when synchronizing Yahoo! contacts with BlackBerry Desktop Manager
