Some guys created an app for Android that takes pages from a CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch) System and plans a route to the emergency from where the phone is currently located through on board maps. This is a great program for Fire Department personnel to have. I was wondering if there is anything similar to that in a Blackberry app. It's not likely they'll be developing one for the Blackberry OS.

There are a few services that will send dispatch information to either a digital pager or email. Most are intended to send location and allow the responders to know of the location.
Some systems send emails and require a response call to acknowledge receipt and response to the fire. This requires control by a 911 dispatcher. It can be used to insure volunteers are available and responding to a fire house to get apparatus. The use of a blackberry is possible because it offers both email, text and the ability to acknowledge via dial back. I have not seen such an APP in BB world.
