During sync operation, my BB Tour 9630 will stop syncing saying "translation cancelled" at the end of the log. An error similar to "0800fb03x" appears in trouble window. Accordingly, I have contacts that will not sync over to the handheld, but they are fine in Outlook '07 Very frustrating to say the least. I have +- 688 contacts... is this too many?

No, I know of people who sync more than 2,000 contacts. Perhaps one of your Outlook contacts is corrupted. Try syncing with only your internal addressbook. Turn off Facebook, etc. within contacts.
