If a Blackberry has had a hard reset, is it still able to have data (text/SMS/call logs) extracted forensically? What about ipd files?

A hard reset doesn't erase anything.
Are you referring to a security wipe?

Hard reset? Do you mean wiped?

.ipd files can be opened easy.

Yes, the device was wiped and restored to factory settings. Is the device still able to have data (text/SMS/call logs) extracted forensically or is the data completely gone?

The best we can tell you is the data is gone but if your into something legal then you need to contact RIM. If your hiding something from a spouse or employer then with enough access to the old data or old emails or text messages ( which all carriers must keep permanently) then you might have a problem.
