Default Can't get on the internet

Please Login to Remove!

I've just recently purchased an 8520 already on a Tesco Contract and they're switching me over to a Blackberry tarriff and that can't be sorted until the 9th May, trying to get on internet using home Wifi but it won't load can anyone help?

You need that BlackBerry tariff to use ANY data services, even over WiFi. The data you use over WiFi won't count against your monthly data allotment, but you need the data plan to authenticate your device on RIM's infrastructure.

You'll get internet when you start paying for it. May 9th??? Usually they can get these things done in less than 24 hours.

I'm on a contract at the moment (had a HTC Wildfire) but I really didn't get on with it so I bought the 8520 on pay as you go, my partner rang them up and because I'm changing tarriffs they can't do it until the 9th of May, just don't understand why they can't do it in 24 hours.

Sounds like maybe that's the end of the billing cycle for the contract plan.

Makes sense. The smaller carriers don't pro-rate for early or mid-cycle plan changes.
