Default Desktop Software issue

I've looked everywhere for a solution to this and if anyone can help this board (I hope).

So the issue I have is that I have a win7 machine 32 bit and I'm trying to installed Blackberry desktop software on to it. So I go through the install process no problem and the icon appears on the desktop. The issue is when I click on the icon I get the splash screen and then the application opens but I only have the boarder, I can see the BLACKBERRY SCREEN Software on the top left and the max/min close buttons on the top right but nothing within the boarder. Nothing appears in the event viewer and no error message appear.

I've managed to install BDS on three other Win7 machines without any problem.

Any ideas?

You can try deleting DM and re-installing from scratch. Every now and then a download is corrupted or the software doesn't install properly.

Are you downloading DM from the BlackBerry web site? That gets you the freshest version. BlackBerry - Desktop Software for PC

Also check how much RAM the computer onto which you're installing the software has. I had an old ThinkPad and when I opened DM on it the delay for the entire program to load could be several minutes. Sometimes it didn't open at all. Turns out I only had 256MB of RAM, the original factory configuration. Once I upgraded to 2GB I stopped having issues with software like Desktop Manager.

Thanks for your reply, the machine has 4GB ram and 320gb hard drive. I've download the software from the main BB site and also tried the version that I've installed on the other 3 machines. Its a total mystery. as to why it doesn't work on this one machine
