Hi,
I was just curious, I have BlackBerry Protect installed on my BlackBerry Curve 8520.. Its ment to be capable of tracking the BlackBerry.. How is this possible when the 8520 model doesn't fully support GPS?

It doesn't track. It will show you location each time you submit the command to show location.

I don't know what if anything it can do with a BlackBerry model that doesn't have GPS. Best case is it might show you location within a radius about a cell tower location, but I don't know if it has that capability.

It is easy enough to test, however. Do it and post back what happens. Worst case is you get a message that that feature isn't supported on your model BlackBerry.

I have it on my BB and it does need a GPS to do any location display when logged into the support site.
Works very good with a 9700.

Can the program use cell tower triangulation - not nearly as accurate but it can get to with-in several hundred feet or less depending on the number of towers.
