help with updating bold 9700 PLEASE
hello! i am hoping someone can help. for the past few days my bb icon has disapeared and am unable to get my emails or use facebook or blackberry messenger i have spoken to my service provider and they havent been able to do anything.

I am sure it is something to do with the software as when i am trying to update my phone through the desktop manager a message comes up saying 'fatal error while trying to update please try again' i have done this several times but still nothing.

Please help :(

What did you do just before this happened the first time?

Have you tried a battery pull and resent the service books?

i didnt do any before this happened, not that i no of anyways.

How do i do a battery pull and resend service books??

The FAQ is your best friend. Always look there for a solution.

Battery pull

With the device ON, remove the back cover and take out the battery. Leave it out for 30 to 60 seconds then put it back in and let the device reboot. 1st step to take if device is having problems? - BlackBerryFAQ

thanks alot ive rebooted phone will try send service books tomorrow and let u no how i get on, thanks again :)
