I got an error: "uncaught exception: a browser conent provider for video/3gpp mime type has already been registered with the browser". I believe this has something to do with me not being able to play any content such as videos or music.

I already restored the software BB OS 5.0, used the BB desktop manager but I can't get to fix the error. Can someone tell me what can I do about it?

Those are difficult errors to track and trouble shoot. Typically it is an incompatible file, theme, app, etc..

Is the device on BES?

Have you tried a battery pull?

Uhmm...i have the full blackberry data plan, email, social networks and full access to internet....regarding BIS and BES, i believe I have it in BES! Tried pulling the battery off, taking the media card off and back on, and back on the battery. restored software. right now I'm trying with the BB desktop manager and see if i can get something done...but i've no idea on where to start cause i don't find any info on this specific uncaught exception error....:S

Are you using UberTwitter? I have seen reports of certain versions of that throwing the same error on reboot....

If you are using UberTwitter, delete it, do a Battery Pull and see if you can then play music and/or videos.....

well, the only thing i have is BBm, windows live msn, Gtalk, Yahoo msn but those are pre-installed. I have google maps and a couple of themes that i have had for a long time before the error so i don't think the themes are the cause. the most recently app i downloaded was whatsapp which i'm thinking of deleting, although I don't think that could be....I'll keep you posted.

Glad you got it sorted out. As Dubdub said this kind of error can be difficult to track down so you got lucky finding it so quickly.

Maybe you should play Lotto too.....;)
