when i try to send SMS'S it comes up with 'invalid mandatory information' i really need tips on how to stop it as i only got my blackberry yesterday and i cant get a new phone for a wile because its on contract. please help me!!!!

How are you composing the sms? Are you going to Phone Application and type the number and then hit Blackberry key and then selection the "text to ....." ?

i go onto my SMS's and compose a SMS, then select contact then type then send then it comes up with a red cross!

go under phone application and under options and general options there is info like country code, area code, phone number length, make sure this info is completed.
make sure you are selecting +1 for country code if you are US of A

how do i get onto phone application? and im in the United Kingdom. i was texting fine on it yesterday though!

You might have to call "laptop" and ask them to walk you through reprogramming the message center number. Simple procedure really. Do a backup of your data just in case. It shouldn't erase anything, but ya never know.
