Default How to remove the cover?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All,

I'm looking to remove the cover on my 7290. Is there a tool widely available that can do this? It looks like a small "Allen" key might do the trick, but I'm not sure. Anyone know??

I believe its called a Torx - 6 or T-6 for short, widely available on e-bay, the Radio Shack versions don't work as well I have tried both.

You can also get them at Home Depot or Lowe's type stores.

I guess it depends on what they have on the shelf when you buy it, I did not mean to imply that Radio Shack's were junk or the like, just stated what happened to me. The one I got was not a dedicated screwdriver it was more of s bit and as such it would not fit into the whole properly.

taking of the cover is easy and the inside comes out as one piece. The keyboard fits right into the front cover. I take mine apart every now and again because i get gunk caught in the keyboard which causes uneven feedback and some keys click a little. i find that loostening the case slightly heps with that problem so i don't fully retighten it.
