I have recently sent a message to a friend thru BBM and the little D didn't show next to the check indicating that it has been delivered.. I wanted to know the reasons as to why this might happen.. could it be that they deleted me?..have a new phone??..or blocked me?? I just want a definite answer..

There is no definite answer.
There could be several reasons for this, including the ones you mentioned.

Their phone could be turned off, or in a non-service area.
Their carrier could be having trouble. RIM could be having trouble.
