Cool BB 8900 won't Ring aloud or play media...

Please Login to Remove!

It rang and played media a couple days ago and then I plugged it in to charge it on the computer. Foolishly, I did not eject it properly from the computer in a hurry to leave my home. Seemingly not knowing at the same time, it appears I may have corrupted the rings and media player. I've done a little research on this problem and noticed that people have said to test the speaker phone and photo capture sound. Both work fine i just tested them, but the media player and ring tone/text alerts still fail to work. Anyone else have an idea about solving this problem? Is their a restore to factory settings thatll do the trick on this? Any feedback or solutions to this would be Fantastic! Thanks BB Community!

Have you tried a hard reset yet? That is, with the power on, remove the battery for at least 30 seconds. If you have not tried it, do so. Then test.

Thought it would. There was a glitch of some sort. A hard reset is just that.....sort of like a cold reboot on windows.

Welcome to the group.
