Default Password Keeper Help needed

Please Login to Remove!

OK. I bought an 8700c about a week ago. The day I got it, I was messing around and opened up password keeper. I didn't really know what I was doing at the time and I entered a password. Now I'm getting things under control with the blackberry and I can't remember my password. I'm at attempt 8 out of 10. Is there a way to reset the password keeper so that I can start fresh, enter a new password and then use it? Otherwise, I'm afraid I'm out of luck because I've tried all the usual suspects as far as passwords go. I hope somebody can help! If this can't be reset, its pretty lame software imo.

No. What I would do is backup so you do not loose all your data because once you reach ten it will wipe, however that having been said. First you will have to reload the operating system and then when and if you use the backup for restoring data you are going to have to do an advanced selective restore and not restore the password keeper data, otherwise you will be back to square one. Next time use a password that you can remember easier.

If you're talking about the Password Keeper application...just keep entering bad passwords. Once it reaches ten, it deletes any passwords that you had previously stored and lets you start again with a new password and new data. It does not wipe the entire phone.

Atleast that's how it works on my 7250.

Tateu,
thanks! that worked... I didn't have any info in the password keeper so losing stuff was no problem. I just ran to 10 wrong passwords and it reset like you said. Perfect!
